stock 72 Ranchero base model, tag says 3.00 ratio no idea on splines unless someone else would know
Internet searching shows it should be a 28

72 is 28 for sure wasn't sure if you had 9" stock or not. I'll dig over at the storage unit next week....think i still have a DL unit overthere...

I did finally find one but it is 100% E36 M3 I've got no idea how it got saved and not tossed. chuck casting is snapped the pinion bearing holder is junk and the splines inside are cracked inside on both sides. I remember this failure....I was lunching my 383 powered 67 Dart at New England Drag way Twisted both axles 1/4 turn at same time guess it was hooked up good. 5th pass that night the pinion let go.
