I need some awesome 13x8 or 13x9 wheels for my awesome Rabbit. I could even go for 2 13x8 and two 13x6, or whatever. Some awesome cheap autocross tires would also be awesomely rad.

    Their "sale" section seems to be on the fritz, but they've often got 13 X 8's / 9's / 10's!!! for $30 - $50 a pop, NEW, nuhyuckuh:

Diamond's usually got some cheap E36 M3e too.

Also, check with your local roundy-rounders. That's the hot ticket!

They aren't exactly autocross tires but I have a set of 13 inch summer tires I would be willing to sell dirt cheap..

Fixed my profile. I'm in Boston, MA. Emails usually get to me, so that's weird.

The aero wheels aren't available with enough backspace for what I have in mind, but Diamond will do it. To keep a neutral scrub radius, I have to have 5.5" backspace for a 9" wheel.

I am probably back-burnering this project to do something a little more "Challenge"ing. I'll still be looking for wheels and tires, though. Width and backspace requirements will loosen up a bit. It's also possible that two of the wheels will have to be larger than 13", which sucks for finding cheap race tires.

I've got boat loads of DOT treaded race tires you can have! 235/70/13's So you need around 4.5 back space on an 8 inch rim? I'll have to look in the pile and see what i've got left. I crushed a bunch of rims last year.

Normaly I'd tell you to check out IRWheel.com over in Oxford Ma. but its to close to raceing season for him to fit in a 4 rim order....

    In reply to 44Dwarf:

Thanks! A tire that tall and wide presents a problem for this project, though, because the front will proably use stock spring perches that eat up a lot of clearance. By the time I reduced the offset enough, the scrub radius would be really out of whack. A 185/70/14 tire on a 6" rim with 5" backspace barely clears. I won't need such a wide tire/rim combo in front anyway.

In the rear, less backspace won't present a problem, and I definitely need a wide tire. I can also re-drill for anything up to 112mm bolt circle. 4x100 is still prefered, though.

Obviously Jim's first in line, but I also would like a pair or set of 13x8s in 4x100mm flavor.

Depending on how long you're putting the project on hold, remember that all the big dogs ditch their tires before Nationals. Also, check Hoosier's website weekly. We bought discontinued, but brand new A3S05's a few years ago for around $45 ea.
