Checking the weather tonight like I always do, its going to be 8 freaking degrees when I ride in to work tomorrow. I'm throwing in the towel, I need a 4-wheeled vehicle with a roof and doors. Vans or pick ups preferred but damn near anything around or under $1000 will do so long as it doesn't need too much to get running mostly reliably for days its too cold/icy/wet to ride safely. I can drive stick and prefer it, but auto's are fine too. 1991 and older somewhat preferred to avoid having to have it inspected. Price and availability is the main concern however.
Anybody have something sitting around not being used? Pass a car for sale on the way to work every day? Know a friend who's got a friend? Etc etc... I am pretty good at checking Craigslist on my own but otherwise I don't really see much of whats out there.
I live just north of Baltimore, MD and should be able to get a ride about 100 miles in any direction to pick something up.
