I'm tempted but it looks like you're about seven hours away. I'm way down in Southern Illinois.

Tighe;
This deal is in Champaign, not connected in any way, and I don't need the temptation BBC

I'm 1.5 hours west of STL. Not close, but maybe close enough. I've got a faded red hardtop (I actually drove to St. Genevieve MO to get it several years back).
Contact me directly for haggle-ation

Thanks to all that have replied.
The Craigslist top is sold already. Man these go fast.
Clem it isn't the distance that's stopping me; I can't leave the state. I'm on court supervision (yes, court supervison not probation) and have to get permission to travel out of state. Doing this involves taking a half day off of work and driving 45 minutes one way to fill out a form detailing where I'm going, what in, who with, and why. Otherwise I'd be all over that one you're selling.

Well,
If we can come together on a price, I bet we could find the top a ride toward your direction...at least to STL.
Fun how this network can pull stuff like that off...
I don't have a way to get it there anymore (IE, a miata...the perfect way to transport a hardtop)...but I-70 is pretty heavily traveled...

Clem-
I could give it a hauling from Columbia to the East STL metro area, if Tighe is flexible on his timing. I'm coming back to CoMo sometime in the next couple weeks to see friends.

Yes, I'm very flexible on timing, especially when I need a favor. Sometime in a month or two I'm have a rollbar put in from Izzy's Custom Cages and I'd like to have the top by then. Other than that I'm wide open.
psteav, are you talking East St. Louis as in the east side of town, or East St. Louis as in the scruffy Illinois side? I'll be at the GM Training Center on Meramac Bottom Road a few times over the next few weeks so I could probaly bring my truck up and meet you somewhere.
Clem I'll send you a PM.

Tighe-
I live in South City on the MO side of things. I'd be happy to bring things over into Illinois if you're limited in your ability to travel. Or, you'd be welcome to come pick it up at my house.

Just a follow-up here. I went over to Missouri and bought the hardtop from Clem Sparks. The transaction couldn't have gone any smoother and I was able to see some very nice countryside as well. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase something else from him in the future. The only downside is you may end up trying to follow a Sebastien Loeb inspired driver across Missouri backroads in a busted Ford Ranger.
Cliff notes: Super nice guys sells parts on the up and up.

Hey! I'm glad everything went well.
I have to drive like that or the kids whine that I'm not going fast enough ;). Plus...I needed momentum to make it up the hill. A 3TC is not that powerful ;).
Thanks again!
Clem
