I think John broke my rear axle. Looking for a new gearset and/or axles and/or an entire unit. I'm fine with a drum/open rear as I already have the GSL unit so I can swap my goodies over. Preferably somewhat local...

    Anybody?

He did, call him. Any swap will get me kicked up into a class I would be totally uncompetitive in, so I'll stick with fixing it thanks.

How much to ship it out Greg? I have to pull mine to see what's broken first, but I like having parts lined up.

I have a 85 GSL rear rusting away in my back yard. I have no idea what condition it is in now,but it was fine when removed from the car. If I get some time soon I will take it apart, and have a look see.

Hell I would imagine it weights close to 100 lbs. and would be a pain to package.

Which rear axle did he break? I am suspect of the drivers side rear axle since the ring and pinion started making noise before I threw the GSL-SE rear in. I don't want to sell junk so if you are interested I would do it at cost. Actually I am not even sure if the axles would work with each other. Maybe sourcing a local S3 axle would be better.

From what the RX7 people are telling me, the 83 just had the 84/85 flange but still used the small rear axles. I still have to figure out exactly what is broken in mine, I'll take it apart tomorrow.
