Considering trading my 1984 RX-7 GS, as my commute involves a lot of stop-and-go, which is far from the rotary's strong suit.... Car has 118k, 5-speed manual. This is my third RX-7 and this one runs excellent with a strong motor! Recently installed new Exedy clutch, Bonez test pipe, DLIDFIS w/Accel Super Stock coils, Delrin motor mounts & Mazdaspeed transmission mount, 110amp FD alternator, new stereo & others! New door seals too. New Hankook tires on stock wheels painted gunmetal grey, I also have an extra really nice set of OE aluminum finish wheels but E36 M3 tires. Car has a great body with very little rust, but some paint fading and ugly peeling clearcoat. Interior is GORGEOUS and in near mint shape. Oil pressure gauge doesn't work (who cares) and gas gauge is flaky (I have a new OEM sending unit I will include with the sale if I don't get to it by then). If someone wants to pay cash I could do $2011 but I am keeping the stereo and fog lights for that price. This thing HAULS ASS and I know somebody here wants it!

Look at my reader's rides for pics. I am open to pretty much whatever in trade, as long as it is a compact-ish non-gas-guzzler. NYG Neon? BMW? GTI? Isuzu I-Mark?

Do the Epsilons come with it?

Doesn't have Epsilons on it anymore. Those were when the guy I bought it from had it. It has some 17" black 5-spoke wheels now with a red strip around the lip. Still cool, but not those cool mesh style wheels. Actually now that I think of it those were SSR's, and the wheels on in now are Rota's.

Ahh, I see. I would totally trade for that, but the logistics would be a bit difficult, seeing as I'm either working or in school 7 days a week...

Truth be told it probably doesn't get much better gas mileage as it is only a 3-speed auto so it revs pretty high on the freeway. I get 20mpg with my 78 RX-7,and this is probably only 2-3 mpg's better.

With a Mikuni, RB exhaust, pre mixing and a 2nd gen coil conversion I got a steady 26 mpg over 30K.

    Just saying

The carb could probably stand to have a better tune, but I kind of want something bigger anyways. I'm looking at Saab 9000s, though a Civic del Sol is also on the shortlist, just...because.

Did you drive it like an old lady? I have the RB exhaust and a stock Yaw modified Nikki carby, but only get 20 mpg's. That is a steady 20 though no matter how I drive it. Actually I don't check it often because I don't give a berkeley about the MPG's of that car. I love the smiles per gallon I get.

I am very very very happy you aren't closer. Actually wait... no I'm not. I've got a 1997 Hyundai Accent L, a/c and no power steering, that gets 28ish mpg in straight stop n' go and low 30's hwy, with a tune up should run closer to 35-40mpg on the highway. I've also always wanted an early RX-7.
