How likely is it that this will show up on bring a trailer for $5k in a month or so? I have seen a few others before, but usually trashed ones in the junkyard, never a running one.

I already checked to see how far it would be to go pick it up, 1280 miles round trip. I'd love to have it but I'll bet before you get it to satisfactory condition you'd have more in it that you'd want to. I also checked to see what they were going for. All things considered, that one does seem to be priced fairly.

These do have the "big block" 1275cc Mini motor which is somewhat sought after.

It would almost be worth the asking price for the 1275 engine alone. I had an America engine in my Mini years ago. Even with the 8.8:1 compression it was still plenty quick (for that time period) with twin SUs and an LCB header. 60 horsepower isn't a lot, even with a car that was well under a ton, but you didn't brake for corners.

God I wish that was closer. I would be in a lot of trouble with the wifey.
