Or buy my 1980, same color, similar shape (well, needs carb work, but comes with an extra carb), for $100 less.

For reference, that is a 1200, not a CVCC, if anyone is considering it. They each have their own advantages.

Just curious, whats the diffs between the 1200 and the cvcc??

CVCC is 1500 cc with the awesome 2-1/2 barrel carburetor (not really). I had a yellow CVCC 77 back in college, really was a fun little car. Not too much fun on long trips (4-speed), motor was buzzy at speed. No tach so I wasn't sure how fast it was turning.

Visually, the CVCC has longer front fenders, which you can see in the crease by the bumper. In addition to the engine which of course had the CVCC head, CVCCs could be had with a 5 speed and a tach.

A friend of mine had one of these so we swapped cars for a few days...I had a '80 Fiesta.

A 1st gen. Civic is pretty much like a 2nd gen. and a 3rd gen. isn't all that removed. What these 1st (and 2nd gens.) had going for them was light weight, a function of their small/compact size. Horsepower was in the high 50s (depending on engine) to lowish '60s and curb weight was 1750-1800 lbs.

CVCCs were known to suffer cracked heads just a teensy bit more than NON-CVCC engined cars. As a previous poster says: "...both have their points". And periodic valve adjustments were critical on BOTH engines...no hydraulic lifters here.
