Christina Lam went from the sidelines to full-on track enthusiast in 8 simple steps.
I hate to put this up for sale, I really did have big dreams for this car. Turns out I need to move to Portland next week. Although this thing runs, I ain't driving it there. I'd like to see it go (intact) to a better home.
Here is the previous FS thread: http://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/200x-classifieds/fs-1990-turbo-miata-3x-challenger-2000-n-fl/68692/page1/
I have removed the seats and harnesses (still available) and it has been sitting under a cover for a few months, waiting for me to graduate so I could play with it. Well, you know how these things go! My loss will hopefully be someone's gain.
Of course this is in Atlanta! How close is this being road worthy? No, I can't buy this. But someone else might be interested in the info..
It was straight piped and really stiffly sprung when we had it-so yeah, it's streetable as it sits.
No other changes since I took delivery! It should probably be tuned more (it's running MegaSquirt) before really pushing it. Oh, and don't do it when it's raining lightly (as I did) because it's on Hoosier R6's and has no windshield wipers. Unless you're in a Burger King parking lot. They were surprisingly okay with it.
It's a fun car and was quite competitive.
Going to post it on craigslist tonight for $3000. If all else fails I'm going to stuff the fast bits (rollerskate?) into the U-Haul :(
Save this awesome car from a horrible fate!
damnit I want this. If they would accept my Gen as a trade for a new SWMBO car I would be on my way to atl right now.
If there is an active Exocet forum out there, you should post it there. It would be the perfect donor for one. You might even reach out to Warren, who is active on this forum, and ask him if they know of anyone looking for a donor.
OK, I have to ask....
Where in Atlanta are you? When exactly do you have to leave?
I'm going the opposite direction. I'm moving into Atlanta this weekend and am very likely selling the Miata in my avatar before I head down.

Match made in heaven.
I'm located right off I-75, just north of where it splits off from I-85. I'm planning to hit the road Tuesday morning (July 1st). We should really just have some sort of Miata exchange program so I can pick one up when I get to Portland :)
Will anyone buy this sweet car from me?
I would take it but I don't have the time to pick it up right now. Anyone want to store it for me until September?
I could come get it this weekend but don't have the free cash to buy it from you. Darn!!
Have you listed it yet? I'm interested.
I know this car, and the builders. We have swapped a lot of cars.
I'm seriously not wanting to see it leave the GRM family, and my $2014 car is way behind schedule.
You've got mail.
FYI, I've listed this car (and my DD/autocross Miata) on craigslist: http://atlanta.craigslist.org/atl/cto/4539470954.html
Extra $1000 for the unwashed non-GRMers :)
Yeah, this car is PERFECTLY streetable
Wish this was closer, but I have no way for me to tow it back to Fl :( Unless I just drive it back.....
Last chance! Or something terrible happens to it :(
Nothing terrible will happen.
The Mumpkin is once again heading South.

Great news! It has been an outstanding Challenge car already yet still has a lot of potential!
Gobs of potential. I'm really glad to see it back.
