2002 Saab 9-5 - Manual, Brown, Station Wagon, Turbo, Mine - Shepherdsville, KY - $2000

My wife and I are parting with our '02 Saab 9-5 Linear station wagon, but only because we're replacing it with a newer Saab wagon. This car has served us well as a daily driver and vacation car.

Here's what you need to know:

-2.3l Turbo I4
-5 Speed manual trans
-Upgraded TD04 turbo with King Cobra intake pipe
-203k miles and counting. I still drive the car regularly.
-$250 in overpriced window tint from a local high end shop
-'04 9-5 Aero wheels with good tires
-Working A/C and Heat
-The car spent its life in GA before moving to KY. The body is clean.
-A large stack of records from the previous owners

Recent repairs/maintenance:

-PCV update kit
-Air filter
-Hatch struts
-Fuel filter
-Cabin air filter
-Valve cover gasket
-Distributor hole plug
-Resealed Oil filter pedestal
-Cleaned oil pickup
-Resealed oil pan
-TD04 Turbo with matching hardlines. Installed with Eeuroparts turbocharger gasket kit
-Emblems front and rear. Used front. New OEM rear.
-Front main seal
-Oil pressure switch
-King Cobra intake pipe

What's it need?

-Fix the oil leak. It appears to be an external head gasket leak. There is no mixing of coolant and oil. I was checking/adding oil every couple of weeks while driving it 50+ miles/day.
-HVAC blend doors were unplugged by PO. The A/C and heat blending works perfectly with the climate control. The ones that are unhooked control air flow. I kept the pieces from an Aero parts car to fix this.
-Alarm batteries. These are $10 a piece from eeuroparts and need to be soldered in. I have a spare older box that is rebuildable. The keyless entry still works fine without this installed, but you don't have alarm functionality nor chirps when you lock it.

Overall, this is a decent car for decent money. It's quick, gets fair MPG, and looks nice.

I'll knock $200 off the price of the car if I get to keep the Aero wheels and tires. The stock wheels are ugly, but they're round and the tires are black. The bike rack in the photos does not belong to me and cannot be included in the sale. The factory roof rails will obviously stay on the car.

I just realized that I don't have interior photos. It's black leather and in very decent shape. I'll post photos soon.

Interior lights, city lights, and license plates bulbs have all been upgraded to LED as well.

Incredible deal. Too bad I don't need another Saab DD right now.

Do you think it needs a new head gasket to fix the oil leak?

I do, sadly.

There are no third row seats in these. My '68 SAAB 95 had one, though.

What do the stock wheels look like? Are they the double 3 spoke looking ones? I'm seriously tempted to replace my neon.

Sadly not. I'd not have replaced those.

I believe this one is sold. I may have underpriced it. We'll see.
