I remember seeing that C3 shooting brake on the cover of either R&T or C&D when I was a kid. Was a silver/black one, if I recall correctly.
Looks like an Ecklers or Greenwood. I could get my hockey gear in my car with that back end. 1500 too steep for me however.
you can find a rough but complete running mid/late 70's vette for 2-3k and put it all together. You'd have 10k into it when done if you want it nice, but should be worth more with this tail on it. There are cheaper ways too...

Nowhere close to me. Maybe up north where you get to deal with a rusted out birdcage, but nothing I'd consider running and driving.
