I personally wouldn't pay that much for that car. You can get similar cars for $1000 or so less. My 1991 was $1800 with 116k on the clock. It needed a top, clutch, tires, and brakes. The top was sort of a pain to do, but it wasn't nearly as hard as I thought it would be. Have you looked at the miata.net classifieds?

Here are my retail estimates on potential repairs that may have been needed on the Winnebago's 1991 Miata. If the above listed Miata is good in all these parts the the '92 listed above is not a bad price or at least a good negotiation starting point.
