Looking for plastic 4th gen fuel tank. I have read they come in 99 to 02 Camaro's.

I've got a sheet metal tank in the carcass of my 98, if that does you any good. It's yours if you want to come pull it.

Thanks for letting us know. We are looking for one of the plastic ones, because they are 18 pounds lighter.

Someone down here is parting one out.  Shipping may be deal-killer though unless we can work out a GRM relay.

If I get around to parting out the firebird I'll let you all know.

I didn't think the steel tanks were even 18 pounds to begin with.  Didn't know they ever made a plastic one.

Now I am curious... I now have a scale, and I have access to an empty '97 tank.

LS1tech has the steel tank at 23 lbs and the plastic one at 20 lbs. So not 18 lbs of weight difference. Here is the list where the info came from weights

Good to know. I knew I should have done more research. It will still be better for ethanol, and corrosion.
