Um see the title. I have a top end and cam, just need a home for it. My current motor is too nice to take apart, and using it would take me too long. My rule is if it can't happen over the winter I can't do it. So I need a solid short block that I can build then install later with my current motor as a spare.
I have one in pieces that would need rebuilding, but it's all there. I'm in Brighton.
Tempting, how much do you want for it. What do you know about the history of it pre teardown? Hoping for more of a slap some new bearings in it and go kind of a project.
Well, it was smoking pretty good, which is why I pulled it. It should be fine with new rings and bearings, but to be fair, it's been sitting in a plastic storage bin in my pole barn since I pulled it in 2004, and I haven't looked at it in years. If you're interested I can pull it out this weekend and take some pics, see how things have held up. It's from a 94-ish Mustang, so it has hypereutectic pistons.
I dunno, make me an offer. As I said, it's been sitting there taking up space for 13+ years, I doubt I'll ever do anything with it. At one point, I had thought about putting it into an FC, but that's never going to happen.
