SWMBO needs a car to replace her Jetta, and we're looking at E30 & E36 BMWs. She really wants a 318ti, but would be open to an E30 or standard E36 as well. Must be manual trans, looking to spend roughly challenge money if possible. We're in Milwaukee but can travel to Chicagoland or north or whatever pretty easily for the right car. Is anything out there? Kinda dry locally ATM...

There were a couple of 318tis that popped up about two weeks ago around Chicago under challenge money - that cheap for a ti - they go away pretty fast - this is out there now: 318ti. No mention of trans - guessing auto. Kinda odd - most bmw people don't like the ti, but for the fans they seem to draw a premium. Then again, it's close to the top of the list of favorite cars I've owned as a DD.

I saw that one, but the mention of "in-dash TV" kind of scared me.
