At last year's Miatas at MRLS event, Road and Track asked us to help them drive every type of Miata. The result was Miatagasm.
This year, they asked about driving a car in every single session of the weekend. That's 15 hours of track time. We could have taken the easy way out, but we decided to use Andy, one of our turbo NDs. From the SEMA show floor to the track. What better way to test the car?
We're not making dramatic changes to it. It's being fitted with our triple pass radiator, Verus hood louvers and some prototype coolers for the oil, transmission and diff. The exhaust is a Hush-O-Matic with a FM midpipe.
The FM four wheel big brake kit with a bridge bolt upgrade and Verus brake ducts will stop the car, while our Stage 2 Fox Racing suspension takes care of corners. Wheels and tires will be 17x9 6ULs with RE71R tires, and a Hard Dog roll bar will address safety.
The test will take place on October 7-8 at the world-famous Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. We're looking to see what we can do to let you ride along virtually, so keep tuned!
