I bought a 1960s 16 ft. boat with a 40hp Evinrude for $900.
Made in Little Rock, Arkansas from 1959 to 1967 by the Southwest Mfg. Co.
You can see that the boat sits far back on the trailer, absolutely no tongue weight; hence the dumbbell on the front. OK, the owner wasn't a nuts & bolts kinda guy.
The windshield is not the one that belongs there, it is bolted to the deck and not the step above the dash, I plan on cutting it down.
The engine is off now, windshield off, interior out, boat is flipped in the backyard waiting for sand and paint. The trailer has been shortened a foot to move the CG forward.
I've taken "before" pictures and will post them with the "in progress" photos all in one swell foop later.
