Cool truck and it looks like they did a nice job on the exhaust.

I wonder if you can find any traces of the original color under there.

Still nothing on the original color. Taking it home now.

While I was photographing our 87 Land Cruiser, ran into this.

Too bad there is so little Ford left in it. But is sure looks way prettier than a similar era GM.

Nice score dude!

I'm generally not a fan of that particular vintage Ford truck but that last pic/color scheme really works.

I kind of like the wheels that are on your truck now, with those hubcaps, although painting them some other color might help.  Getting rid of the white walls would be nice though...

Cool project.

Thank you. The current wheels are growing on me

I gotta figure out the suspension this week. Can't even turn the front wheels without serious rub

not sure if the offset is wrong due to disc brakes

a friend suggested airbags but thats $5k

might have to look into front coil overs or figure out a way to raise it a bit

That's perfect down to the blue F O R D lettering

I have a hunch, and if it's in the thread already and I missed it then apologies, that the front suspension has been completely replaced with something else.  Like Mustang II or 2nd gen F-body front and discs along with it.  Good way to get a wheel to body mismatch going.

Maybe the easy button is a wheel swap and add spacers to the back to get the width back in it (or just fronts that clear things better that match the rear wheel style).

Yes it's a Malibu front end . If wheel swap works that's what I will do, as easy button is ok

mAin issue is I know 0 about these things

so I don't even know which wheels to start with. I am a JDM guy in the wrong world

I think I'd measure the current, get an idea of how much the outer lip needs to come in towards the body, and call somebody like Summit Racing or US Wheel and just play dumb until they got me hooked up with a couple of new fronts to fit.  OR take it to a local tire & wheel place and play dumb.  Playing dumb is key here, don't ask me why.
