Aftwr the crap he has pulled me through this year, i figure i owe it to him a few times a month to pay a visit to his table. However, i talk with him more and better in the shop or outside, so we do spend time together almost every day.
Got 2 coats of red and one of black on today. Dad is going to do the rest of the paint tomorrow. Tuesday we hipe to start reassembly.

That's a neat design. I should have you and Steve knock one out for the crappy Miata. 
I've looked long and hard for another one like it.
This is apparently a one off. I bought the main hoop assembly from some spec miata racers that got it when they bought out another shop. Rear legs and diagonal and mounts were me.
This one may be available at some point....
Im back to my day job today.
Would much rather be in the shop working on the challenge car.
Im trying to figure out today how to make either a soft bikini top, or more interesting and useful, a hard bikini top.
I have a spare na soft top frame, .030 aluminium, and fiberglass.
This probably won't be used for challenge purposes, but to keep inclement weather out and sunshade. Mostly for storage though....

Not to take away from your roll bar at all, I do like it, and I'm sure the price was right, which is worth a lot for a challenge car.
But... If we're talking roll bar preferences, I'm struggling a bit to see how this would be better than say, a GT3 bar from Blackbird. Honestly just curious, I hope to be able to start making some of my own here soon, so I'm collecting theory and tips.
Also, congrats on mega progress! This thing is really coming along!
To be honest, theres no benefit to my roll bar vs a hard dog or blackbird. It just looks nifty-er and was cheap.

Ok, cool. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything that made this one stand out more than just looking nifty-er. It is pretty cool looking!

The only thing this does differently than the hard dog ace in my street car is that the cage goes rearward for the harness bar and diagonal to give more seat recline travel. Not much more, but more.

It really ought to look sharp with the white floor, black and aluminium suspension/drivetrain, and red butterfly brace.

If space, cooling system, time, testing, and budget permit ill be doing a full composite flat floor, splitter, diffuser, side splityers, and csp wing.
But thats WAY down the list.
Need test drive and paont before aero.....
