If you do want to chase them out, I'd recommend against using a block or a DA. Use a small piece of paper and a finger tip to just blend the edges. Just be careful not to try and sand the bottom of the craters as that will be your thinnest spot.
Maybe use something like a pencil eraser. (big pink one, not a pencil top one)
Make the work surface just barely bigger than the fisheyes and flat. Work in tiny circles, again, avoiding the bottom of the craters.
No matter what I think you need to keep the same green. I love how it's not like a factory color. Dare to be different, not that you have any issues with that.

Crackers: ill try that! There is about 1/2 gallon of paint (2 quarts after mixing the paint and thinner at 1:1) sprayed on this thing. The paint itself us smoothing well, though the fisheye craters are a problem. I THINK i have enough paint thickness to sand them out, but will try the finger method you proposed first. Blow through is not a problem i want. Luckily they seem to omly be on the decklid and passengers quarter, but i havent gone over the whole job with a fine tooth comb yet.

Well, i started a wetsanding and buffing thread over on the main forum. So far, im learning a LOT.
I hope this stuff washes off. Its EVERYWHERE.

if you're goung to make a paint run, make a good one. Outlined in blue tape. One continuous run. And a little one up front. This is todays goal. Think im going to try to find 800 grit sanding discs for the da for the hood orange peel.
starting to like what i see! This is drivers door done at 1000 grit. 1500 and 2000 yet before buffing.

Same here! This is my first start to finish paint and body job completely solo. Im already happier with it than i ever was with the amc, even if it's not the color i thought it would be.

There's no way a sound clip on the internet can do justice to the sounds this car makes when the throttle is blipped in person.

Crawford, do I have to come down there and slap you ? Talk of hoping for 16 second quarters, hoping it's fast is silly. This thing has to have more power than mine had, and I went 14.81 without attempting a clutch drop or any other abuse. It will autocross well on the SM7s, too. I predict you'll be top 5 in combined autocross and drag times.

Damn right. I have a 3400 in an rx7. It sounds like a rowdy old school Busch car.

If it breaks into the Thirteen's I will spray it into the 12 second bracket if they'll let me do it with my safety gear.
Warren: I legitimately hope this thing is as good as everybody thinks it's going to be. It honestly doesn't feel like a top-five car in my opinion.
