The CAM guys look like they have a lot of fun. They also spin out a lot. Which is kinda fun even though it's not fast. I like the CAM guys.

Also, these hoods are tougher to cut up than anticipated

I was using a lennox blade for a couple of those cuts, a sawzall, and tin snips. Next i will try a fiber cut off wheel on the grinder. Maybe it will work better .
Fiber blade is AWESOME. corners will be interesting though.

Use the grinder, smoother lines. Making scoops or big arse louvers?

As far as the hood, im working on venting. I had thought/planned louvers at first, but cant make a set im happy with and wont pay 300 for someone elses. Now, im looking at just a mesh covered hole. If i can make one im happy with.
Been awhile. You're doing good. How about the mesh with some door style edging around the holes, and mitered corners. Might give it a clean look.

Hole saw for corners. Then just connect the dots with the fiber blade.
Also, if you tilt the blade, it will naturally want to prescribe an arc. You can actually cut a pretty good circle when you get good enough.
You've seen my vents, go to pullapart and see if there's anything you can use
Dimple die set? Make some cool holes.

left side is far, far better than first attempt on right. Critique please.
Also, all 6 of these will be on the final hood. Thoughts? All would be the left pattern, but you get the idea.
Right side looks like I did it. Left side looks like you did it.

Middle opening, "your" side, has one square corner while all the rest are radius'd. Fix that and you are golden!
I think the bottom one is a bit 'Lima bean' shaped? I think this kind of explains how I'm seeing it...

Its not exactly necessary, but is definitely going to give me a lot more headroom with engine cooling with the giant v6 in it. And air conditioning.
Usually, the front two and a center are all thats done. Turbo guys do the middle two as well.
And yes, severe and thermonuclear levels of overkill.
I have a picture of the c5r race car aero/venting applied to an nb miata in my head. Kinda like ricer turned up to 11.

I see it now! Need to look at the underhood bracing and see what happened there. I may have gone too far with the flap wheel.
Gumby: factory bracing had a shapr 90 there. But i agree, needs to be radiused.
Also, i think the top innermost corner needs rework. Its not exactly curved.
