Or, a full round of spring rubber in the 550s brings them to 700, and 450 rear.....

It was awfully cold. And sick kiddo. So, not much.

They follow road crown slightly. Not lpud enough to hear in this car.

Stick good from the little testing i did. Way better than the no seasons. Very good feedback thrpugh the larger diameter steering wheel -don't know if tires or wheel or combination therof is the reason.

Have signed up for a test and tune day in February follpwed shortly by a novice school. Big deal now is springs/oiling system/alignment in real short order.

Save up, get coilovers from FM or Goodwin.  I dint want to, im anti establishment to the core, but the FM Vmaxx Classics changed the car, FM sways too, and the secondary market provided what is the stage 2 FM suspension setup for a grand total of $500 and almost worth degrading myself for.  You know where i started amd i cant imagine going anywhere but here from there

Someone should have thought about that during the design process.........laugh

Remember, assembly is the reverse of disassembly. Easy peasy.

Yeah, the guy that designed this thing needs beaten. No access to ANYTHING!!

Reassembley should be 3-4 hours. And get me more negative camber!

Somehow the most critical dimension of the oil pan gre by an inch. I had 3/8 of room.

So i can't get the crossmember back in as it hits the pan.

Four hours of work fighting it before I figured it out.

Time to rebuild the crossmember i guess.  berkeley.

Im still fighting off the bronchitis. Combined with all my fab tools being at my house instead of dads shop, it made what is frustrating into a complete gumption berkeleyer. I was so disgusted i gave up.

I have a massive project for a customer coming friday, and need to focus on it to keep the timeline i agreed to.

I need to finish hanging a cabinet and cleaning my shop before it comes.

I need dads lift to do daily driver service, and the miata is blocking it.

Now im stressed.....

Waht happened to to pan was i gave him a sharpie line that the pan could be no BIGGER THAN.  He cut on the line, and built the notch with 3/8 plate.

Now im cutting the crossmember apart. Getting the internal reinforcement i added in out without destroying the thing is going to be difficult. The plasma cutter wont help, i dont believe.

But thats a problem for tomorrow. Time to take a shower and a berkeleyit.

Every time I come back to your thread I chuckle when I see this pic. Thank you, I needed that. laugh

And don't take that wrong, we have all felt like this, a picture is worth a thousand words, this was a very eloquent, well structured and thought out speech.

We had today off apparently. Called my boss for Monday staffing and she told me....

So the crossmember is back in. With WAY more clearance than i thought I had. So im now questioning if i had to do it at all due to strange geometry issues or something

But berkeleyit. Its done. Car should be test drivable in about an hour or two.

A roller in less. Think im stopping at roller today. Just not having fun, and as a roller i can get it off the lift.

I took the day off work to try to get this thing done.

New pan holds exactly 4 quarts to the happy place on the dipstick.

Has an oxygen sensor now!

750lb front coils. Need to pit 450 in the rear and reinstall the rear sway bar.

List is still long.....
