I got to have some fun today. I worked on making some aluminum panels for the frame. It's not pretty as there is only so much that you can do when using flat panels. But, I like how it's going. I can see me screaming down the back roads of New England in it.
The front cover for the radiator and the rear cover for the fuel tank can be removed by unbolting 6 bolts each. Then the Devin inspired body can be slid over the rest.
I picked up an inexpensive Miata over the weekend. The body was junk but it is supercharged, has a Torsen diff, and a bunch of other good parts. I'll be putting the drive train into this project.
I'm gone for the entire month of Sept so the project will be on hold. When I return the aluminum skins will be finished. Then over the winter the Devin inspired body will be completed.
