Man, just think...All that sanding.
You get to do it all over again when you color sand after paint!
Seriously though, I think you figured this game out.

Oof. Color sanding....
Please don't remind me.....
And your words of encouragement are very much appreciated. Ive only ever done challenge worthy paint. You know, stuff that photographs well. This time i actually want nice stuff.

Look at the bright side, you will be done, and you can needle Java for as long as it take to sand that county sized conveyance of his.
Java is probably not going insane being cooped up in the shop for 18 hours a day. My office is there, and i haven't been able to sleep. So, I have pounded more hours in on it than is healthy for me......
He also has the equivalent of three neons in his project......
Still waiting for the scrap guy to call me back. Booth is mine until next weekend if i can get it there reasonably. Can't tow dolly due to suspension issues. Don't have a trailer anymore. No way in hell im paying the $90 each way the rollback wants.
You're in NC. Redneck a dolly together using that trailer sitting behind the shed in the woods. Some sticks and glue and a little rope. Maybe don't go over 5mph. You got this.
It sure would suck to see you paint this thing in a driveway for want of a ride to the booth, even if it is $90.
Stampie: nope. Not after this much work.
Cmcgregor: i won't be happy paying it, but id be even less happy screwing up the job by NOT paying it.
Its going to the booth today one way or another. Ill shop around rollbacks today. Junk guy isn't getting back to me, so im paying the man. Just as cheap as renting a trailer.
You're welcome to borrow my trailer but not sure it's worth driving this far to come get it then have to bring it back.
Thanks yall!
Untouchable: yeah, i think youre right on tbe financial wash of borrowing your trailer. However, i am truly thankful for the offer!
Junk man got back to me this morning. hes towing it for nothing. Ill give him the remains of the parts cars when im done.
Also, started cleaning the back seat from the rt parts car. Hit it with purple power and the pressure washer. My GOD the filth that came out.....

+1 on the free tow!
Car looks great. You've really done good work.
Art is willing to let me videotape it and post it so Saturday evening sometime you will probably see a post a video linkage to somewhere when I figured that E36 M3 out
art just finished painting and buffing this one. This is his goal for mine.
He wanted me to show off his latest....

Does this mean blurple boogers for days after you paint?
In reply to Stampie (FS) :
Yes. Probably.
Much better than the smurf sperm blue mustache that one time.....
Then you shouldn't see blurple in your sanding slurry unless you berkeley up. So you got that going for you.
It showed up there. And i was behind the truck. Didn't even think about a picture in the booth. Between being a dumpster fire at work, excitement, etc, no pictures.....

There's only one way your mustache could be smurf sperm blue.
