My kids are starting to get tired of the no radio thing. Doesn't help that neither of the radios in the Subaru or the Miata work either.

Think they'd prefer the broken radio in the Saturn that sort of works but gives you random spikes of really loud static and a screeching noise?

just get a cheap blue tooth amazon special and make some quick release plugs for some door speakers.

sounds like a fun project the kids can help with and you can remove to add lightness for racing.

I need some music or podcasts or something when I driving any distance, so for ME, it would be high on the list.

It's on the list. I could just put back the stereo that I made and get yelled at by the Chinese lady again.

In the mean time, brake stuff has started to show up. High temperature slinky and parts that are never to be run on the street.

if you do,

just make sure to wait another night, so their sweet dreams can take them all around the world, and prove that rhythm is a dancer... a BLUE dancer.

I'll show myself out

What does the current garage have? I read that wife wants to replace her Volt with the Miata RF. Wasn't she driving the red 911 DD? CTSV wagon gone, or still there?

The 911 is on jack stands awaiting motivation/free time to deal with the oil leaks. Not a huge deal, just need to pull the exhaust manifolds and such to get to the oil line fitting.

There's been some serious parts showing up for that car recently.

I need to get high temp polymers sorted out on my big printer soon.

That was my "go to" drive fast on narrow lanes with an old crappy rwd car when I was 18-19 :-)

Somehow it does work best in a car with an oversized subwoofer.

Honestly, they're only $100 more than the "cheaper but may or may not let go in a 90mph sweeper" version. I thought it money well spent. If they fit perfectly and I never have to think about them again then it's money well spent.

In reply to spacecadet :

The biggest issue is getting a decent alignment while thrashing on it. I have to put it on the lift when the super pimp brake stuff gets here so I figured I'd just do it then. There is a light at the end of the kitchen tunnel. Arms and brakes for the Dec 1 PCA track day.

Interesting the calipers say 04-11 tsx and not till 2014

since 04-11 encompasses gen 1 and gen 2 tsx

I have a 2012, and these brakes would look great in it

it's getting fancy af in here...

i've got a lot to say on the aero... but for now, don't do the diffuser until you've got a flat bottom.

minimize air coming into the engine bay, vent the hood (use a magnehelic gauge to determine where), make sure the air isn't detaching from the rear window, block the air from hitting the front/rear tires (even while turned), try to prevent the air from going under the front using some hdpe for an airdam - splitter if you're feeling frisky.

also, that '94 miata you have... whats the story on that? becky might be looking for one next year... ;)

Playing with aero is coming. I need to get the suspension working how I want before I start mucking about with air. And brakes, those too.

The Miata is here and it's probably a terrible idea, but it is fun.

Spacecadet took the Traccord autocrossing today while I did family stuff. I talked to him a bunch about the day and I'm looking forward to his write up.
