How many cars do you have? As the poster-child for this band of fools, do you get your magazine subscription comp'd?
Believe me when I say that he has a lot of cars. This looks like it will be a great swap, a little rust repair body work and this thing is gonna be a sweet ride.
Or you could take it one step further with the knowledge that anywhere a 7m fits, a 2jz will fit. Grab an N/A 2jz out of an SC300 or GS300 from any old junkyard for cheap, and use a 7m R154 trans from a MKiii Supra with that. Should yield around 250hp and make beautiful noises.
If its anything like the 72 corona mark II coupe project I am working on, the 2jz will not fit without SERIOUS modifications...

Went with a 1uz instead....looks like it was made to be there! Your corona could be different though, I'm the first to admit I dont know everything about toyota coronas!

Surpizingly the Supra engine was easier and faster to get out.
We will fabricate frame spacers for the Supra subframe to mount into the Corona, we will also need to cut out the strut towers and refit them into the Corona engine bay.
Very cool.
Wow, I thought that was going to look like one of those stags next time I was there. Glad to see progress!
