According to the VIN it's a 1971 GS, but that won't tell you if it's a GSX or not.  I'd check with the person who runs the GSX registry to see if there are ways to authenticate one if you can't find a build sheet or other documentation.  http://www.buickgsx.com

I had a friend when I was in the Navy that had a GS.  It ran high 13s all day everyday at 98-100.  He had M&H racemasters just left in drive and floored it.  Torque monster of an engine to move that beast.  I think it shifted at just shy of 5k rpm too like 4800ish.
