1999 Miata

1999 Mazda Miata, 106k, motor has 54k (original was lost to a bad thrust bearing). Timing belt, water pump, valve cover gasket, accessory belts, transmission fluid, and differential fluid all replaced when the swap was done (104k body miles, 52k motor). Newer top with a glass back window. AC, cruise control, power locks, power windows, CD player, limited slip differential. 5 speed manual. Located in Waynesboro, VA. I commute 200 miles most days so the mileage will go up......

I would consider a partial trade for a NA Miata, as close to stock as possible. Must have working cruise control

New tires as of last Thursday, followed by a 900 miles road trip this past weekend (including spectating at the UTCC). Car is ready to go anywhere.

Did this car start out as a PEP car and get upgraded? It has the black interior with power windows like a PEP would have, but it also has 15 inch wheels and LSD like a LS or Sport. Nice Miata.

Actually it's just a PEP car with a couple additional options. PEP always included (on both NA and NB cars) the LSD on manual transmission cars. For the NB's you also got the 15 inch wheels. In addition to the PEP package, it also was ordered with AC, side skirts, front spoiler and the Bose stereo.

I didn't see mention of ABS, I assume this car does not have it? Any other options (e.g. Bilsteins) or modifications?

You are correct, no ABS. The only option I forgot to mention is the BOSE stereo. It's 100% stock. Bilsteins only came on the "hard-s" package (which wasn't available with power windows, locks, etc..) At this point, even if it had Bilsteins, they would most likely need to be replaced, so it would be a simple addition.

Hard S might not have come with power windows on the NA's but it did in the NB. Did any NB come with manual windows?

That's actually not true. The Hard S (sport package) was a stand alone option that could be added to the base model car (which came standard with manual windows in '99) It was geared for the autocross and showroom stock racers The sport package only added these options that came in the package over the base car: Sports Package (manual trans only)

-Sport suspension with Bilstein shocks -Rear spoiler -front air dam -15 inch aluminum wheels w/ 195/50-R15 tires -Torsen® Limited slip differential -3 spoke Nardi leather wrapped steering wheel -Strut Bar

If other Hard-s cars have power windows it also has it added as either a stand alone option or it was ordered with other packages.

1999 Miata options

Time to get serious about selling this car. mileage is up to 112k. I just purchased a Miata with a 6 speed which should be a little better for my 200 mile interstate commute.... It needs to go before I do something dumb and build this into a new Spec Miata......
