Some rust, but it'll haul all your friends and then everyone can pitch in for fuel!
Save me from myself.

I worked so hard to get my standard cab '97 F-250, never thinking of splitting the fare on that 460. (Last tank, 7.6mpg)

As a New Englander I approve of this post.
In reply to Dusterbd13-michael :
i'm local. Glad to check it out for you. Anything specific to look for?
Mechanical conditions, better pictures of the rust situation, especially underneath.
Main concern is wether it would SAFELY drive back to eastern North Carolina, and if it would be worth doing so.
In reply to Dusterbd13-michael :
I'll see if I can go look at it. Might be a day or two but I'll let you know.

Dallas wants it, depending.
I recognize from my days of old GM ownership that the heater controls tell me this truck left the factory without AC.
Is Dallas okay with that?
Another thing I hated of this generation is the dashboard mounted, slide lever wiper switch with no intermittent feature. Driving in a mist is generally a constant reaching low on the dash to a switch both awkward to locate and see.
So I texted the guy. His words: It's in pieces since I started the restoration. I'll still sell it though.
Dude, you just renewed the listing yesterday. But this is CL so maybe it is to be expected...

Well, certainly not this one, anyway.

May be a potential fly and drive.....
That's a ballsy drive-away. If you leave via the north route you will quickly test the truck in some mountain passes. If you leave the southern route you will quickly test the truck in some hot desert climates with some long. lonely stretches.
Edit: well, new info says its not drivable any way...
Yup. No go.
Epic roadkill style fly and drive was the plan in lieu of a bachelor party. Same price, more fun.
But nope.

Try doing that in a harness...... just sayin'
I agree the dash mounted wiper switch is a pain. Headlight switch on the dash I'm ok with.
That tachometer is super rare.

He updated the ad and dropped the price. Very much not a fly and drive, but still interesting.
