My kids would get a kick out of the poofy seats.
If it wasn’t for the rust I’d be all over that. It took a few times, but I think I have finally learned my lesson on buying cars from up North (that weren’t stored during winter). See, I left myself an out there just Incase.

Do it ! $1500 cash would probably be ample to get it. Do some routine maintenance since it hasn't run in years and enjoy weekend cruises with the family. The only thing I'd do would be to throw a steering box from a Camaro/Firebird in it at some point . You can steer these old floaters with a feather and I prefer some steering feel.
I had a 1984 Oldsmobile Cutlass with red velour interior.
You will grow to hate that interior. And the fake noisy wire wheel hubcaps. And the missing key to remove the fake noisy wire hubcaps. And the 105hp V8 engine that has wires and a million tubes going to the carb.
But you will be comfortable driving it.
