I thought I was done with LBCs years ago, but one of these has me thinking about them again.

Run don't walk away?

Parts are non-existant?

Any one know of modified Rovers to view?

A good site to persuse?

What am I smoking?

Thanks!

Stan

No idea how to answer any of your questions. You should get one though.

Ha. If I had your room, this would be a no-brainer!

But looking at this, some old Falcons and a truck, I need to (try to) narrow my focus considering my storage situation.

I took one look at the braking system of these and ran away.

They are very cool though.

I bet parts are ok through places like eBay UK.

A friend in our car club had one that he bought while stationed in Germany in 1969.  He sold it several years ago to a British couple at saw it at Eurofair that wanted it more than he did.  He loved the car but said it was rediculously complicated and he got tired of trying to keep it running.  He still has the Land Rover he bought at the same time and says it will never be sold.

The Rover 2000 was designed as an income supplement for dealerships. They had a lot of interesting gear in them (Ice Alert....) and were designed to survive a crash unlike other cars of the period, but I doubt there was ever a time when everything worked on a given car at the same time and they were constantly back at the dealer unless one simply igored whatever wasn't working that week.
