Thanks to the generosity of the fine folks over at Moss Motors, we're giving away a Moss supercharger kit. Sweet.

That's not fair. None available for a Spitfire.

Moss doesn't have a Spit kit yet.

Personally, I had evil thoughts of SpitSix with the 2.5 block and supercharger, but I'm not sure it'd fit under the Spit hood, and if one were to do it, I'm sure it'd be pretty scary in the brief time it ran before breaking something in the drivetrain.

But a fella's gotta dream, right?

I'd be worried 'bout that air intake. Awful low.

Still, I bet that thing fairly well flies.

Andre, you're just the kind of guy who'd be nutty enough to along with my supercharged 2.5 in a Spit-Six idea.

I'd be game to play with that...

Personally my GT6 is in line to see how a new set of SU HS6's perk things up. Not to mention no more sloppy dizzy...

As for Josh's Spit. It went very well, specially for a 4 banger. Very strong engine, but he did have a crank shaft snap.

The car unfortunately had a nasty accident, but because of the work done by Josh to make it safer the driver lived.

I wonder if that Super Charger could ever be mated to the GT6's intake.... Hmm gotta love it when you know someone with a CNC shop!

I'm sure it could be done. On the 6, though, I think you'd really want the M62, which seems more common anyway.

Would be fun indeed.

My thoughts exactly... :-(

Maybe once Tim gets the Spitfire project further along, you guys can talk PRI into sponsoring a giveaway. ;-)

Andre, I've been thinking about it more, and I bet one could get the TR6 kit working without too much trouble on the smaller 2.0, assuming it would fit under the hood. The two engines are SOOO similar.

"assuming it would fit under the hood"

I think that's the problem. Doesn't the GT6 engine use a funky "dropped" intake manifold to allow the carbs to clear? The blower itself might clear, but the carb sticking up off the back could be a problem...

Granted, an EFI throttle body and a conversion to MS may clear... >:-)

The trick with a GT6 is to mount the charger on the left side of the engine.
