    Hey Guys,

Just wondering why this site's video plays back very very choppy. I have no problem with 1080p youtube or any other site I visit, even in the expanded mode. My computer is a 2005 Dell Dimension 2400 with Windows XP SP3 (fresh install), 1.25 gigs memory and a 320 gig hard drive. the video card is the standard one built into the motherboard.

Would love to watch the latest Per video at Ocala but it's a series of stills.

    Thanks,

    Jerry

I cannot BELIEVE I just spelled "playback" incorrectly in the title. Please allow us to change the thread titles!

    Oh the humiliation.

    Hi Jerry-

User-fixable thread titles are on my wish list as we rework the site. (as are automatic notifications for posts over here—there's so much traffic on the main page, these sometimes get buried in the "latest topics" view.)

I've been working with the video presentation on our site; the latest project update is the first time I've gone back to our video player instead of YouTube for video content. It's working fine on my machine, but it sounds like there's still some work to do before I use the video hosted here on the project updates.

For what it's worth, when I post video, it's usually cross posted to YouTube and StreetFire.net for maximum googleicious impact.

I'm fixing the link in the project update now, but in case you're in a real hurry you can click here to go there directly.

Looks good on YouTube, even in expanded mode.

Thanks for fixing the title. Glad I don't have to see the misspelling for all eternity.

Out of curiosity, would you mind trying it from the project update page again? I changed the embed code, so I'm trying to see if it's a server issue on our site or the video playback component. From my seat it works, so I'm hoping you won't mind a bit of guinea-pigging.

(And you're very welcome for the title fix; thanks for being part of our community!)

Video looked fine with the new embed. Full screen drops a frame about every five seconds. totally fine for my use.

Yeah, I've been around awhile. Probably since issue number four or so.
