Maybe its just me, but I am kinda tired of seeing craigslist ads that people post just because it is something they think it is something cool.

Maybe we have a sticky thread for cool craigslist finds, but Id rather have the classified sections be solely forum members and their items.

disagree. i'd rather have a few extra flavor threads, even if i don't like those flavors, to give the best chance at my mint orange peanutbutter showing up.

While it does get annoying at times dealing with links to C-List ads that alot of times have already been flagged or removed, starting a sticky thread would exacerbate the problem.

As it is now, irrelevant ads just get bumped down, and disappear. Putting them in a sticky would just keep all of them at the top, and take longer to search thru. I'd rather simply ignore the individual threads that I have no interest in, than have to search thru 8 pages of crap to find something I want.

I like them! Some are incredibly interesting and I'd never see them otherwise.

Yeah, I actually prefer to see the Craigslist link threads there. Lots of cool stuff would go under the radar if they were disallowed.

Back when I was doing a lot of CL car shopping I would post up interesting tidbits in a CL-find thread of my own that I would just reply to when needed.

For the OP (but I don't think it will keep you from getting lost on a rally)

I have made purchases on these CL posts so I vote to keep them obviously.

I search my local Craigslist. If someone finds something hoof in say, Columbia, Missouri, I'll grab a trailer and get it. This is how I find the goods close enough, buy not local to me. +1 to keep them.

In addition, I think the GRM internet gods have more important things on their plate.

agree to keep it as its been... would be nice to cut/paste the info but I'm guilty of doing the lazy way out myself though...

so many awesome things to see... perhaps something in the tag line like when you do FS: xyz, WTB: xys CL: xyc would help...

Thats fine. It would just be nice I guess if people had a tagline CL for craigslist postings. But whatever. I dont mind it too much really.

The CL tag wouldn't be a bad idea, actually. For the sake of Canucks with their weird kijiji (and other non-CL posts) how about an all-encompassing NMNA: Not Mine, No Affiliation?
