Hello, I have sent an e-mail to you guys (GRM) in regards to a story that would make for a great article. I'd like to get some of the readers input and hope it may help you decide that this story is worth telling! One of my best friends and my mentor, Matthew Noble Marker, passed away in the Ocean Shores Rally in Washington this last April. It has been the first rally related death in Rally America since 2002. Matt had been driving in the rally america series since 2006. Since January of 2010, we had been building and preparring Matthews 2006 Subaru Impreza WRX STI for Rally America's Open Class. After Sno-Drift and the 100 Acre Wood he was in 4th place in the open class right behind Dave Mirra! His passing has taken it's toll on me. We planned to build my car into a rally car togather and unfortunetly that can't happen. His family and rally crew have decided to keep the dream alive, and keep his rally team Subaroots Rally alive as well! Myslef along with several other members of our team will be racing in the Rally America Tour in 2012! There will be at least 3 cars possibly even 4 racing for team Subaroots! Matthews Co-driver for stage rally whom was with him when he passed will be driving Matthew's old Subaru Rally car that we bought back from the guy he sold it to 5 years ago! Matthew's girlfriend will be riding in to co-drivers seat. This is just a short preview to a great story. Please GRM, let's do this!!!
