Is it possible to add a poll option on the forums? I found a neat site that generates html codes for polls and tried to insert the code on the board with no luck.
Would be helpful.

Anyone else want a poll option?
Poll for what? I thought the answers were:
Miata
Astro
Subaru
Engine Swap
Margies patio
just in different order, depending on the question...
We can do polls on our Facebook page, however. Just uploaded a fresh one a few minutes ago: http://www.facebook.com/grassrootsmotorsports
Facebook...blech!
No, we don't need polls. We're perfectly capable of writing out a question and reading the responses....they are usually more informative than when respondents are forced to choose one of the options thought up by the person asking the question.
I leave the Facebook polls open so people can add their own answers. Honestly, it's all about communicating and having fun. And so far, people seem to be digging them.

What kind of Subaru?
I was just thinking a small HTML poll would be helpful.
We all have posted on a which one thread, I just figured a simple voting poll would be useful.
HEY MAN I AM JUST TRYING TO CONTRIBUTE HERE!!!

Thank you for the suggestion.

How about a side bar poll like on the Classic Motorsports site? I would enjoy that.
Me too. The much higher traffic flow on this side could make for some interesting results.
The polls that are on classic would be a drop-in here, but jeez, polls suck.
I don't do Facebook.
One thing I like about polls is by nature they keep things on topic, since you only have a limited number of answers. Yes, people can leave comments, but at least there is the results of the poll that provide value that random comments often don't.
While It seems to me that at one time it wasn't like that here , more and more it now seems like a lot of answers don't answer the question but instead question the question, if you know what I mean. This is sometimes fun when the question has no or little consequence, but is also frustrating when you ask a serious question that you seriously need an answer to or opinions about, but end up getting a bigillion repsonses about "why do you want to do that?" like they know better than you why you asked the question.
I'm off my meds today, so take it for what it's worth...
