Hey Tom, Is there a way you can make it so when you insert a link or an image it goes where you want it to instead of putting it at the top of the post?
    Thanks, Jim

    Like this? Text above....

Text below. Just put the code where you want it to appear. Remember double spaces to force a line break.

The only way I could do that with IE was to cut/paste.

Yeah, I'm using IE, and also can only do it by cut and paste. The only other way is to insert the link or image first and then write the text before it. But it doesn't always work out that way.

IE is always troublesome. I find myself using Chrome more and more, but Firefox is still my first choice.

Is IE also the reason that when I click on a user name to look at their profile, many times it goes to an error 404 page?

Part of the reason. The workaround for that is easier, though. Click the avatar instead of the user name and you'll be a much happier guy!

Don't forget a lot of us (old guys) aren't really intraweb savvy, and don't know shortcuts and work arounds instinctively when you roll out the new boards.

There are some functions here that aren't very intuitive. This message board long predates me in this position, so I can empathize with trying to learn how to use it with little documentation.

The next round of web refreshing (coming soon, but still a couple of months out) will make some of these things easier to do, and hopefully all of them easier to figure out. And it will be prettier...and leave chocolate bunnies on your pillow every morning.

Okay, I made that last part up.

The only time I have this problem is with the guys that have changed their user names. Clicking the avatars work every time no matter how often they change them.
