I HATE that links do not open in a separate tab... can that be fixed, is there a setting hidden somewhere, sometimes I want to click 3 or 4 links in a thread and the review them after reading the thread....

Go to your profile and change the setting.
Or right click. You, the user, should be deciding what you want to open and where.
