Ijust saw the little "mobile" link at the bottom of the main page today. So I whipped out my phone to try it. Now I've got a way to waste time on the go. Thanks GRM.

Oh yeah. Baxter has been busy with this one. I checked the mobile link awhile back and thought "Awesome! GRM on the crapper without a laptop!"

I went back recently while waiting in the Dr's office and was very, very impressed at the progress. It now looks much better on my crackberry.

Thanks. The mobile site is actually very interesting work--very different than a full site, and a real challenge trying to get as much as possible in that small space, make it load fast over a cellular network, and make it all usable with your fingertips.

I've got some more changes coming as I begin to wrap my head around this all-new sort of web design.

Am I the only person who uses his phone to talk to people?

No, Wally, I sometimes use the phone to talk to people. But most of the time I use it to turn off the wringer when somebody calls.

Wait, you use your phone to do something other than surf GRM's site and look at Japanese animae bestiality porn?

Looks like you're in the thick of some non-mobile changes, but I thought I'd offer some suggestions/feedback on the mobile format. I've been using it over the last couple of weeks and overall it's pretty handy, definitely appreciated when I'm browsing on the eyephone. One thing that I would like is a "last post by" spot, but I understand the idea is to minimize information. I was thinking maybe something like this would show the person who last posted:

2009 Ultimate Track Car Challenge signup is open 1 2
    By Scott Lear (47 posts)
Last post by getfast (2 weeks ago)

    Or:

This might seem pointless, but that way it's easier for me to make sure I don't miss any of Wally's posts.

It was a nice, elegant way to display the information in very little space. Thank you!

This mobile version is amazing! Tim, I want to do naughty things to you now. I hope you'll settle for some donuts when I come down tho. I never thought I'd like a mobile version but this is simply amazing! Good job!

+1 Work decided yesterday to give me a BlackBerry. I don't need one, and my complaint with the old work phone was the buttons were to small. All said though, I think I can live with a crackberry, mostly due to GRM. Thank you.

So, I find this thread, and decide to head to the crapper, just so that I have an excuse to try the mobile version. That's when I discovered that the signal strength in the crapper is, well, crap. Oh well. Outside the crapper it looks nice, but I have a feeling that it'll look even better once I sit upon the throne.
