Maybe I'm missing it, but when I say click on a reader's car that is featured at the left side of the forum screen, it doesn't appear to say anywhere who's car it is. I know it says it on the small pic in the forum, but sometimes I pick that without noticing who's it is and then want to know after I'm in it looking at photo's. It just seems like if you are on a page that is devoted to one reader's car, the reader's name would appear somewhere on that page. Or is it there and I'm not seeing it?

There are two places the Ride owners' name will appear.

    1) The page title. (All the way at the top, above the tabs)
    2) In the block below the car name, it will say something like "added on Nov. 15th by XXXusername".

Okay, I missed that. Might I suggest that you make the owners name a little bigger? It's pretty small.

    You can certainly suggest it.

Okay, thanks. Then I am officially suggesting it.

Duly noted and already put into the specs for the new site.

Can we all make official suggestions? I suggest free margaritas on Tuesdays.

Is there really a new site, or is that your way of saying no.

There really is a new site. He's been talking about it for a couple months now.

Where? Where was he talking about it? And why wasn't I notified?? Seriously, somehow I missed that.

I dunno... he's been popping up in random threads saying that there's a big redesign coming.

I've got your Elvis right here.

^^ Man, whoever took that picture must be cool and awesome.

We're working hard on a new layout and design (but essentially the same content management) for both sites. There are some important things that needed to be fixed, and a lot of design updates that are good for usability.

The new site is still a good ways off, especially over here on the GRM side. It's not ready to promote yet, but I will hint at it. It's also been a long (LONG) time coming, so I'd rather get it right than get it fast.

The contractors that are handling the design and most of the implementation are only having trouble with part of that plan.

If it looks like the new Classic Motorsports site it will be nice.

You know, if a guy that spent a couple hours checking out a car for me before I'd ever met him says he's gonna do something, I'd take him at face value. I've got half a mind (and only half a mind) to be offended by that suspicion. When I say no, it's usually only got one syllable and rhymes with "go".

Is there something in my post that suggested sarcasm?

Now there's a guy that sounds like he's got inside information.
I'd post it for you all to check out, but it's not ready for primetime yet. (But I do like it a lot and think it will be much much easier to use...)

I had honestly never seen you post anything about a new site, so I wondered if you were jokingly telling me that you'd take care of it with the new site when maybe there wasn't a new site, get it? Kind of like advertising that you'll have free beer tomorrow. Anyway, since when are you above suspicion???

Okay, I'm guessing you didn't see the humour in my last reply. Seriously, anything I said in this thread (except for the original post) was in jest or by misunderstanding, not malice.
