Is there a way to get to the detailed/advanced search function directly?

Example: I searched for "intercooler" and I get back a boatload of returns. However about %70 of them all start with "Login Register Sign up for the GRM e-newsletter". This is because it is posting all the readers rides that have intercooler in there writeup.

Now readers rides are very cool! But nothing I wanted to read relating to intercoolers is located there.

The funny part is that once you search and get back all the results from the site you are then allowed to search more specific areas of the site. Why are we not even this option first or could you make it so that if click the search button with the search criteria field blank you would go to the "advanced search"

Could you make it so that if you are in a specific area of the site that the search will search that area first then the rest of the site? I mean if I am in the "New car review section" and I am searching for something odds are that I am looking for something in that section not in the "clubs section" (By the way the clubs section is very cool people should check it out !)

I was wondering about this too. I would have done a search to see if there were other posts about it with answers, but . . .
