So kids I am back again with another suggestion for an article (since my penetrating oil one didn't really catch on)
What do you guys think of a roundup of rust removal products and methods? Get a couple strips of mild steel in a salt bath for awhile and after awhile try different things on different strips?
http://www.crankshaftcoalition.com/wiki/Rust I would love to see comparisons of different methods mentioned there and elsewhere (ease of use/application, cost, effectiveness, etc) something like the safest rust remover product, converters, etc. http://www.safestrustremover.com/ (the one they just used on the miss Belvedier car
Could also do another coat of paint and salt bath again to see how long it takes for rust to come back.
Lets be honest, we all work on old cars here... and what old car doesnt battle the rust beast at some point?
(oops, I meant to say "another" in the topic title but got cut off. Any mods want to edit that in since it wont let me?)
