So by "yes" does that mean "no ABS"???
Long story on my car: Bought it a year ago(cheap) with 54kmi and little signs of much maintenance. Both front wheel bearings seemed a bit noisy so I ordered replacements, then did what I do best - procrastinate. I checked them at each oil change, but never felt any problems until a couple weeks ago, when I felt about 1/4" of movement in the right bearing.
I needed new shocks/struts anyway, so I ordered those & waited.
In the mean time, the sewer on my house plugged up due to roots & I spent my whole weekend dealing with that. I don't have much time anyway(full-time job with 100mi daily commute, plus my own side-business in the evenings & weekends), and I know a guy/friend(sort of) who's a mechanic that owes me some $$$ so I just took the car to him.
I wasn't too surprised when he found the swaybar end links, outer tie rod ends, front rotor/pads, and balljoints were shot, since I basically drive this thing like a rally car.
But unfortunately the heat from ~45kmi of driving on the noisy bearings has seized the axle shafts inside the hubs, to the point we bent the I-beams on his 12-ton press trying to get them out.
So now, in addition to struts/shocks, outer tie rod ends, balljoints, and end links; I also need new hubs, axles and probably upright/knuckles since there's no way to get in there and cut off the CV shaft so I can press the hub out the opposite direction. So I'm dropping almost a grand in parts into this thing I only paid $4700 for. Oh yeah, and I need new tires for winter too.
I sure hope the rest of the car holds together longer!
