So a while ago I was thinking of getting street wheels to preserve the track tires, but the consensus was that Star Specs wouldn't age too badly with some DDing. But now after DDing the 'rolla over the last couple of weeks, I want to get street wheels because the roads around here are total E36 M3, so I want more tire and less rim.

Right now I run 195/50/15s and I'd want to get tires for a 13" or 14" rim that are around the same size. Tire selection is pretty slim around here, if your size is unusual it can be impossible to find tires at all. Are there any common sizes around what I'm looking for? I'd want something no wider than 195/50/15s (or they'll probably rub in the front and won't even fit on the rear) but the diameter can be a bit more.

I'd want to run SPTs or something in that league. These tires will see heat and rain only. The only summer performance tire at all in the stock 185/60/14 size is the Star Spec and I know I can't get those locally.

No responses in the last half hour...that means these don't exist right?

The only other option is the Falken Azeni in 14.

Toyo makes their 100 treadwear tires in some nice 13" sizes (R888/RA1). Sure, the Star Specs are probably more reasonable than those. Otherwise it seems to mainly be plain-jane all-seasons in that wheel size.

Falken Ziex ZE-912? (size not listed on Falken's US website.) Yeah, they have several 13" sizes of those listed on their Japanese website.

The smallest size the Kumho SPTs used to come in was 205/50R16.

I have 195 60 14 ziex912s on the ae86 right now, I think it's a good tire for the money. Probably not the performance you are looking for but half the price.

I've actually got old 195/50/15 SPTs on the car right now but that size seems to have been discontinued

Seems like there are only 2 summer tires to choose from...all-seasons really don't make sense in an environment that's usually around 30C and never drops below 20C. The shops around here love to sell them though because they don't last too long in a hot climate.

185/60-14 Star Specs are one of the few.

I made this huge spreadsheet of available tire sizes a few months ago. I didn't spend much time on 13" and 14" size though. One you might not have found is the Yokohama S.drive in a 185/55R14. That was the only other 14" UHP I found beside the Falken/Dunlops. The 185/65R14 size had the most offerings (28), but no UHPs.

I haven't found any street legal 13" performance tires, at least in the size that will fit anything I own. 1970 Opel GT and 1963 MG Midget.

As for 14", the only ones I have found are the Star Specs or Azeni's and even then only very few sizes. My 99 Miata has 14" rims and I have 3 set of rims for it.

These Vredsteins are a decent tire and fairly soft (UTQG of 220).

Not real cheap ($103 for Spridget size) but not The Earth either.

Advan A038's come in small sizes don't they?

I'm actually pretty happy with no-name all-seasons. (I have Epic Tours on the front and Cooper something-or-other on the rear) It's your only choice for donut-shaped tires anymore, anyway.

How about Toyo RA-1's?

I don't think streetable R-comps make a lot of sense for the street either...I'm thinking about settling for all-seasons though. The grip's not great and they wear fast, but they are cheap...

Is this a typo by any chance? I can find SP2030 and SP2050 on Tire Rack, but not SP2000.

Edit: Hold on a sec that's way too wide anyways.
