It does need a LOT of work, but think how nice an LS would look in there...

One of the best years to buy. Small journal 1296 engine, if its correct. Engine doesn't look "new" to me in the picture. If the carpet set is the moulded type its worth 1/2 the cost of the car. It has a hardtop but its for the later Spitfire. Its still worth some money if its in decent condition.
An LS would ruin this car. Too big and heavy.

Hmmm,
reminds me of the last time I visited the Colonel....saw a bit of regular, AND LOTS OF CRUNCHY.
Do you suppose that the "new" engine is in the same box the carpet is in?
Love the "grassroots" radiator overflow tank(?).
The top is the wrong one, but it still seems to work with the older body style, so I'd keep it if I was dumb enough to want to buy and restore this car. Unfortunately, there is WAAAY to much work that needs to be done here.

I don't think that's the overflow tank. The stock overflow tank is still there. I think that's the "gas tank".
