Now, here's your classic pit bike right here. I've never seen, nor heard of these before, but I thought that someone might be interested in it.

I'm sure that the electrical system is a mess...

I thought British bikes all had handlebar mounted brakes....

A real conglamoration(sp?) of parts going on there, too.

BTW, my road bike is a late '80s Panasonic, and while visiting Japan in the '80s I saw a few Bridgestone brand bikes.

A few years ago when I drove for NAPA on saturdays (only for the employee discount) I was tooling around the back roads making a delivery when I saw these bikes on the side of the road in front of someone's house.

They were nice, two Rudges, a Schwinn Sprint and something maroon with chrome fenders and a three speed. I walked up and knocked on the door, asked if the bikes were for sale.

"Please take 'em, we're moving to Florida."

Cool. Put 'em right in the back of the NAPA truck. One has a 1957 County license plate. I looked up the numbers on the rear wheel, both Rudges are 1955, one is a sport, don't recall what the other one is.

There is something about these old bikes, the ooze class and just roll along with little effort.

My wife tools around the village on one, she gives me that look when she leaves and I sing that theme song for Miss Gulch.

I've actually ridden one of these Triumphs. They ride about how you'd expect (heavy and slow). My wife's brother in law took several of them and added fog machines, lights, etc. and rode them at critical mass in San Francisco. I don't have the link handy, but you can find video of them on youtube. Pretty interesting anyway.

Mental, I had to find out what a Dutch MILF Magnet was. I totally understand why women get all warm and runny.

If women are attracted to that bike, it's because they understand you need a large front, along with a nice, functional caboose, and a nice spread in the middle...

Actulally, I think that might be one of the most useful city bikes I've ever seen.

I quit if that quote doesn't make it in the mag...
