Maybe it's a sign he doesn't know what he has?

I loved the Cosworth Vega when it was new. It's not a lot of car by today's standards but by the standards of what they were offering us at that time it was cool.

The Carlsworth Vega is worth a lot less than the Cosworth Vega. Jump on it is it isn't rusty.

PS. funny thing is these cars always seem to have been in long term storage and never running.

IIRC the Cosworth heads used a high amount of some soft metal and cracked easily...maybe...?

No doubt they'd be quite stinky after all this time.

Now I need to go and enjoy some beer and good cheese . . .

Thanks to Failboat for the link above, it's like a masters thesis on GM incompetence and mis-management. Also a lot to think about if anyone is considering a Vega.

I wonder if it was Carl Sworth's Vega in the days of yore...

I'm not sure I want to pay $3900 for any Vega but I'd like a rust free roller for $750 so I could build the powertrain that car should have had.

Wrecked S2000 or RX-8 + Vega chassis + roll cage would be one sweet looking car that screams.

They have smaller holes than the more common Swiss-cheesed Vegas, though.

I thought about keeping it all GM- Put in the entire driveline and suspension from a Sky or Solstice. Supercharged, of course. Then I realized it would still be a Vega when it was done....
