Sounds promising! So, is the tires & legal stuff the only reason it can't be driven?

Wow, I need to see this thing. And so do the guys at Transamcountry.com! You should poke around over there. Tons of good info on these cars over there.

(shameless plug, I've been on there for years!)

All of this Trans Am talk is making me sad... .

When I left the Army I had a '77 Formula and a '79 Silver Anniversary Trans Am--but I could only tow ONE to where I was moving cross country.

I literally GAVE the '77 to my hometown junkyard where I got my first job in the 7th grade as long as they'd pull the motor so I could thow it on the trailer with the '79. Both cars were in pretty good shape.

I then shortly moved into an apartment complex where I could only have one car and I needed my truck more than my Trans Am... .

I really liked both years, but in true 70's fashion, I loved the bird on the Silver Anniversary cars--it was so huge it even covered the fenders.

    In reply to Dav:

Yep, that's the biggest bird of them all! I actually have one, but it's a basket case and it's for sale.
