Does it just suck to change out?? Fist thing I noticed was the engine is sitting in the wrong direction.. do you go in through the wheel well? How bad of a job is this? It needs to be done, but I have not deiced if I want to change it or not on my own. All my volvos and audis I had no issues changing them but this thing looks way harder.

I thought the Duratec engines were chain-timed...

If it was a Zetec, I could tell you how.

If it is a 05, it is a duratec and has a timing chain, not a belt. Could be a 2.0 or a 2.3L, but all 05s have a duratec in them. I hope this helps.
