I happened to be in Monterey on Saturday and was able to get to the Concours d'Lemons before I had to head to the airport. Wish I could've spent more time in Monterey this weekend, just driving around was a sight and sound to behold.

That car is an Electra-King. I should've had a gnome stand next to it for scale and taken more pics of it. The plug is recessed on the driver's side just in front of the door.

Those bikes in the album were purchased at auction the night before I got there and the airport was storing them in the hangar next to where we parked, the Dino was under a cover right next to them.
The Porsche's showed up to see the Concours d'Lemons. One of the Porsche pics there's a Z car driving by in the background that had a gnarly sounding V8 in it.
The F430 was in a spot right next to where I parked my rental car. There was a CD in the passenger seat title "The 200 Most Peaceful Waltzes." Not sure if that was a joke ala Stig or not.
Monterey was truly sensory overload. There was a F430 Spider pulling away from a stop light going the opposite direction and it literally almost brought me to tears. No kidding, it was truly THAT emotional for me. I've never felt that way over anything automotive but there were cars EVERYWHERE. 2 minutes before I had seen a blown Merc gasser in traffic. Unbelievable experience and I only got into it for 2 hours.
My personal favorite was this creative use of rust on this Fridolin. It got HUGE attention when it pulled in. A guy I went to high school with drove one as a daily so it wasn't so aweome to me. Here's a pic for those that don't want to click through.

WWII patina? Not likely, but it sounds cool.
The guys in the Beetle pulled in just as I was leaving. I wish I would've had more time to talk to some of the car owners.
I did over hear the guy with the Le Car say that he spends way too much money to keep it running.
The guy with the old Fiat said it's dead nuts reliable, keeps up with traffic and was recently his DD for about 4 months while he rebuilt the batteries in his Insight.
Couple people were saying the Fridolin was abandoned for awhile.

It was built between April of 53 and July of 54 based on the taillights, and the lack of side molding suggest it's a European or Canadian market car.
